Why do we sleep?

We all know that sleep is important, and if we if we go long enough without ZZzzzzzs, we face some real health consequences. But do you ever wonder WHY we sleep? Interestingly enough, researchers really aren't sure, but have their own hypothesis on why we close our eyes and zone out every night. It’s summertime, and the sleepin’ ain’t easy…

Summer officially kicks off this week (hooray!!!) Bring on the pool parties, cookouts and outdoor festivals! What I can do without are the hot, sticky summer nights while trying to sleep. That, and mosquitoes. Quite literally, they suck. Being even the slightest bit warm at night while trying to snooze is the pits.
