Start Every Day With a Good Night’s Sleep — There’s An App for That!

If you’re anything like me, then you don’t have the best night of slumber every night, but you try to. On any given night, it could be anything from noise to tossing and turning in bed to staying up in the wee hours of the morning catching up on my weekly shows. No matter the cause, my sleep is being affected and I can tell in my waking hours. So after some careful research –or using Google on my smartphone– I came across an article from Paste Magazine that I felt could help point me in the right direction in solving my problem.

The article is The 10 Best Apps to Help You Get a Good Night’s Sleep and initially, I figured “great, all I need is another app”, but after reading this article, I literally NEEDED another app! It gave a synopsis on the best 10 applications to download on your smartphone to aid in helping you develop better sleeping habits. Most of the apps listed are free with only a few available for only $2.99–not a bad investment when it’s a contribution to your overall health and well-being. There are apps to track sleeping cycles, snoring and even patterns during wake hours as well as a few offering functionality to set bedtime and wake times to ensure you’re getting the amount you need nightly. If noise is your vice, maybe combatting it with calmer noise or meditation before bed could help.

I found this extremely helpful and even downloaded two to try myself–to see which one I like better that is. So the next time you find yourself into one of your bad sleep habits, try perusing the sleep apps in the app store, put one to the test and tell us all about it!
